Thompson's Cider Mill and Orchard

The Victorian-style red barn with white trim that is the current mill sits proudly at the top of the steep driveway overlooking the Swopes' Pond, Leslie Rickert's original farmhouse and the new orchard on the hill.

The Thompsons welcome visitors to the cider mill and orchard for 10 weekends each fall. They open it each weekend as well as Thanksgiving Day from late September through Thanksgiving weekend. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. They generally make cider Saturday mornings at 10 a.m. and welcome those who wish to watch.

From West (N.J. and Rockland)
	TAKE TAPPAN ZEE BRIDGE TO RT. 287 EAST exit
	Follow Rt. 287 East - Take FIRST EXIT - SAW MILL RIVER PKWY. NORTH
	Follow Saw Mill NORTH (about 2 miles ) to TACONIC PKWY EXIT
	Take Taconic Pkwy NORTH (go approximately 4 miles) TO EXIT marked OSSINING /RT. 134. (DO NOT TAKE EXIT FOR RT. 133!!)
	Make a LEFT turn OFF Exit ramp ONTO RT. 134
	Make SECOND RIGHT TURN ONTO SPRING VALLEY ROAD
	Follow Spring Valley Rd. for approx. 3/4 mile , make the second right turn off of Spring Valley Rd. onto Blinn Rd.
	Mill is at the first house on the left ABOUT 1/4 mile down the road
	THERE IS A SIGN ON THE ROAD THAT SAYS "ORCHARD HILL" AND THE MILL IS LOCATED UP A VERY STEEP DRIVEWAY.
