The Victorian-style red barn with white trim that is the current mill sits proudly at the top of the steep driveway overlooking the Swopes’ Pond, Leslie Rickert’s original farmhouse and the new orchard on the hill.
The Thompsons welcome visitors to the cider mill and orchard on the weekends each fall–from mid-September through Thanksgiving weekend* (the mill is open on Thanksgiving day as well). Hours are 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. They generally make cider Saturday mornings at 10 a.m. and welcome those who wish to watch.
*THE MILL WILL BE OPEN DECEMBER WEEKENDS FROM 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. SATURDAY, DECEMBER 22 IS THE FINAL DAY OF THE SEASON!
